Guerlain Bubble Blush Review

Now the sun is shining and it’s finally feeling like Spring here in the UK, it’s time to switch up your makeup.

Spring makeup is all about fresh looking skin with a healthy glow. Most of us however, feel run down and look more grey than glowing – but that’s easily fixed with the right product.

Introducing the Guerlain Bubble Blush.

Guerlain Bubble Blush Review

This limited edition beauty costs £25.65 from and is all you need this Spring. This year’s Spring collection by Guerlain is called “Blossom Météorites” and contains a range of complexion products to brighten your skin. The new Spring range by Guerlain is available here from Escentuals - my definite favourite for purchasing beauty products online.

I had heard of Guerlain years back, yet only recently became a huge fan. My first purchase was their Secret De Purete Cleansing Cream which I got for an amazing £37 instead of the RRP £47 via Escentuals. This cleanser removed everything – even my waterproof eye makeup and cleared my skin wonderfully. Converted by their skincare, I then tried their Tenue de Perfection Timeproof Foundation which is my HG foundation. I have still yet to try their famous Terracotta moisturising bronzing powder – I know, shame on me.

I was kindly offered to try the new Bubble Blush, and being a huge fan of cream blushes I jumped at the chance.

This melting cream blush creates a cheeky pink flush, with a fresh satin finish that really does feel like a second-skin. It glides over the cheeks with a lightweight touch and gives you a healthy glow in an instant.

Meteorites Bubble is available in two cheerful colours that revive the complexion: the sweet rose of 01 Pink, and the vivacious fuchsia pink of 02 Cherry. I tested the Cherry shade which when tested on my hand looked ultra bright and a tad scary. But when applied to the apples of my cheeks it gave an ultra natural flush. This product lasts hours without the need for a touch up; but when you do need a little more blush to perk you up, this is my go to product to keep in my purse. It’s so little and cute looking but I know it will last months and maybe even a year. The cherry shade has cool undertones which is perfect for my skin as it softens any unwanted pinky tones and leaves you with a natural glow.

Guerlain’s signature scent of violet makes this product feel super luxurious too and compliments their skincare and foundation wonderfully.

I apply this straight to my cheeks from the ‘bubble’ by dabbing a few times on each cheek. I then blend with my fingertips. Unlike other highly pigmented blushes it doesn’t stain so is very easy to blend up towards your outer cheek area. It dries to a semi-matt finish and doesn’t budge your foundation base as so many other cream blushes do.

It’s won my heart over – more so than the Stila Convertible Color Blush. Such a shame it’s only available for a limited time, but maybe they will extend the availability once they see how popular it is.

Love it x
